KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X Get Price Hikes

KTM raises prices of the KTM 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X after GST changes — new prices and what it means for buyers.

KTM has revised prices for two of its mid-capacity adventure bikes after briefly absorbing the additional tax burden from the revised GST structure. The company has raised the price of the standard KTM 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X, marking the end of the temporary cushion it offered customers when GST 2.0 came into effect.

The 390 Adventure X now lists at Rs 3.26 lakh, up from Rs 3.04 lakh — an increase of Rs 22,410. The regular 390 Adventure has seen a steeper revision, rising from Rs 3.68 lakh to Rs 3.95 lakh, a hike of Rs 27,000. These new price points reshape the rivalry with other middleweight adventure models in India and widen the gap against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is currently priced in the Rs 3.06–3.20 lakh range.

The price changes follow the GST 2.0 revision that increased the tax rate on motorcycles above 350cc from 31% to 40%. Bajaj Auto initially absorbed the higher duty for KTM and Triumph models above 350cc to keep retail prices stable and support sales momentum, but that buffer has now been removed for the two Adventure models.

At present, KTM’s other 390cc siblings — including the 390 Duke, RC 390 and the upcoming 390 Enduro — remain unaffected by this round of price adjustments, though the company hasn’t ruled out further revisions across the 390 family in the near future. If you’re planning a purchase, now may be a sensible time to check dealer stock and official on-road quotes before any subsequent updates.
