Isuzu S-Cab Z Dark Series unveiled in India — a premium, blacked-out commercial pickup with exclusive accessories and rugged 2.5L diesel power.
Isuzu has given its most premium commercial vehicle a bold, fashion-forward update. The Isuzu S-Cab Z Dark Series — billed as India’s first Dark Edition for a commercial vehicle — made its public appearance at the Wheez Auto Expo in Madurai and drew considerable attention for its all-black aesthetic and dealer-fit accessories.

The visual changes are the headline here. Isuzu S-Cab Z Dark Series package dresses the S-Cab Z in Cosmic Black Mica (as shown at the show) and adds a dark grille, hood decal, extra fog lamps, a matte/black finish on the alloys, chunky side steps and a robust rear roll cage. The accessory kit is reportedly dealer-fitted and can likely be applied to other body colours, but the blacked-out look is clearly the focal point.

Inside, the S-Cab Z retains its premium, work-friendly character. The model continues to offer features expected in a top-spec commercial vehicle: Bi-LED headlights, LED tail lamps, dual airbags, a touchscreen infotainment unit with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, rear-view camera, ISOFIX mounts, six speakers, keyless entry and multiple USB ports. These additions make the S-Cab Z Dark Series appealing to buyers who want commercial capability without sacrificing creature comforts.

Under the body there are no mechanical surprises — Isuzu keeps the tried-and-tested ladder frame chassis and the torquey 2.5-litre 4JA1 turbo diesel engine that produces around 78 bhp and 176 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. That combination prioritises durability and low-end torque, which are key for commercial use across farms, construction and industrial applications.
