Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition launched in India at Rs 23.69 lakh with race-inspired styling, 79 kWh battery and 500 km real-world range.
Mahindra has introduced a new motorsport-inspired variant of its born-electric SUV, called the BE 6 Formula E Edition, in the Indian market. Priced from Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom), this special edition taps directly into Mahindra’s Formula E success, bringing track-flavoured styling and features to a family-friendly electric SUV. It is available in two variants – FE2 at Rs 23.69 lakh and FE3 at Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Visually, the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition immediately stands apart from the standard BE 6. Mahindra has reworked the front end with a new signature bumper that houses circular projector headlamps, gloss black surrounds and bold Firestorm Orange highlights. The fixed glass roof, a unique 12-stripe graphic on the bonnet and prominent “BE 6 Formula E” badging at the rear underline its special-edition status. Liquid-metal finished cladding, redesigned skid plates and aggressive race-style graphics on the doors, fenders and bonnet further amplify its motorsport attitude.

The Formula E connection is not just in the paint and decals. Mahindra has added “Mahindra Formula E” ceramic branding on the windshield, FIA logos and carefully positioned Formula E decals on the roof and even the carpet lamps, making sure the SUV constantly reminds you of its racing roots. Dual spoilers – one on the roof and another on the boot lid – add aerodynamic drama as well as visual flair, giving the BE 6 a more purposeful stance on the road.
Inside, the BE 6 Formula E Edition continues the race-car theme. The cabin is finished in a striking Firestorm Orange shade, with an FIA x Formula E plaque and logo-embossed dashboard and seats. FIA-branded seat belts, orange accents on the steering wheel, controls and pull straps, plus translucent door inserts create a cockpit-like feel. Features such as dynamic speakers, wireless charging, a race-style start/stop flap, custom start-up animation and even exterior “engine” sounds are all designed to enhance the drama every time you get behind the wheel.

Equipment has not been compromised in the name of style. The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition packs in a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, six airbags and a high-stiffness bodyshell. Braking duties are handled by all-wheel disc brakes with brake-by-wire tech and an intelligent electronic brake booster. Driver-assistance highlights include drowsiness detection, an electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system with individual tyre readouts, adding a strong layer of safety to its performance credentials.
Powering this special edition is a high-performance electric motor paired with a 79 kWh battery pack. The setup delivers 282 bhp (210 kW), enabling the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 km/h. Mahindra claims a real-world driving range of around 500 km, which means this race-inspired SUV is not just quick off the line but also practical for long everyday commutes.
