Kawasaki India now offers extended warranty plans for the Kawasaki KLX230, boosting total coverage up to 10 years for added peace of mind.
Kawasaki India has introduced enhanced extended warranty schemes for its popular dual-sport motorcycle, the KLX230, giving riders more confidence and long-term protection in the Indian market. This move makes the bike an even more attractive choice among adventure enthusiasts and daily commuters alike.
By default, the Kawasaki KLX230 comes with a three-year standard warranty covering key engine and gearbox components — a reassuring baseline for any buyer. Now, Kawasaki has rolled out three extended warranty options that can be chosen at the time of booking, enabling riders to stretch their coverage well beyond the factory period.

The new optional plans add two, four, or seven additional years to the existing warranty. That means customers can secure total warranty coverage of five, seven, or an impressive ten years, depending on the plan they choose. This level of long-term protection is rare in the segment and reflects Kawasaki’s growing focus on customer satisfaction and aftersales support.
These extended packages are designed to safeguard important mechanical parts such as the engine and gearbox, helping owners ride with greater peace of mind without worrying about unexpected repair bills. Riders interested in these extended warranties should consult their nearest Kawasaki dealer for full details on pricing, terms, and availability.

Mechanically, the KLX230 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 233cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces around 18.7bhp and 19Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike’s dual-sport character is underscored by its long-travel suspension setup and rugged 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, delivering capable performance both on tarmac and off the beaten track.
Recently, Kawasaki shifted production of the KLX230 to India, a strategic move that significantly reduced its retail price. Coupled with the GST 2.0 tax revision that lowered duties on sub-350cc bikes, the KLX230 now commands a more attractive ex-showroom price of approximately Rs. 1.84 lakh — far more competitive than earlier when it was priced well above Rs. 3 lakh.
