Hyundai i20 Hatchback Now Starting at Just Rs 5.99 Lakh

Hyundai India refreshes Hyundai i20 pricing in India with new entry-level Era trim, bringing premium hatchback appeal to more buyers starting at Rs 5.99 lakh.

Hyundai India has made its popular premium hatchback, the Hyundai i20, more accessible to a wider audience with a revised pricing strategy for the 2026 model year. The move includes the reintroduction of the base Era variant and price reductions across key trims, bringing fresh value without compromising on features that have made the i20 a segment favourite.

The biggest highlight of this update is the new starting price for the Hyundai i20, which now kicks off at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with the Era trim. Previously absent from the lineup, the reintroduced Era model returns to bolster affordability and strengthen the i20’s competitive edge in the premium hatchback segment against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz.

Despite being the most budget-friendly i20 on offer, the Era variant doesn’t skimp on essentials. Buyers still get six airbags as standard, a fully digital instrument cluster, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, front and rear skid plates for added protection, a Type-C USB charger and a telescopic steering wheel. These features underline Hyundai’s effort to balance safety, convenience and cost for entry-level customers.

Alongside the new base trim, Hyundai has also adjusted the prices of two well-established i20 variants. The Magna Executive now carries a revised tag of around Rs 6.74 lakh, while the Magna variant is available at approximately Rs 6.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). These trims retain their rich equipment lists, including a digital instrument cluster, tyre pressure monitoring system, keyless entry, electrically adjustable mirrors, automatic headlamps and other features that blend comfort with everyday practicality.

Stepping up the range, the Magna trim continues to offer enhancements such as an electric sunroof, LED daytime running lamps and rear AC vents. Hyundai offers additional options such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a rear-view camera, available as dealer-installed add-ons. Standard warranty coverage also remains solid, giving buyers peace of mind for years to come.
