Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Shine 100, a significant milestone in India’s commuter bike market. Since its introduction, more than 300,000 units have been sold. The Shine 100 has become a popular pick among Indian buyers because of its modern design, reliable performance, fuel efficiency, and excellent value for money.
HMSI recently held exciting delivery events in vibrant cities to mark the success of the Shine 100 model. These events reinforced the Shine 100’s popularity among customers. HMSI saw growth in the 100-110cc motorcycle category in FY ’24. This growth was fueled by a robust network of over 6,000 touchpoints across the country, ensuring strong sales and service support.

Tsutsumu Otani, the Managing Director, President & CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, happily announced, “We’re excited to tell you that the initial year of Honda Shine 100 has received positive feedback from our customers. He mentioned that Shine 100 has become a strong contender in its group because of its contemporary style, impressive fuel efficiency, and attractive cost-effective deal that caters to a wide range of customers. Mathur was thankful for the trust and support from the customer. He believes that Shine 100 will continue to meet the needs of customers in the new rider motorcycle market.
Honda Shine 100 Price & Engine
The Shine 100 is available for Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and showcases HMSI’s commitment to providing affordable and efficient transportation solutions in India. The 98.98cc engine is derived from Honda’s 110 unit found in the CD 110 Dream model, featuring a similar 47mm bore size. However, Honda emphasizes that numerous internal parts have been modified for this engine. Despite producing 7.38hp, it falls short by 0.6hp compared to the Hero Splendor and HF Deluxe. Nevertheless, it generates the same 8.05Nm of torque at 5,000rpm, albeit 1,000rpm earlier than the Hero motorcycles.
Moreover, HMSI provides a unique 10-year warranty deal (including 3 3-year standard warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty) for Shine 100 purchasers to guarantee lasting dependability and assurance.
