BMW F 450 GS launched in India from ₹4.70 lakh; offered in three variants with advanced features
BMW Motorrad has officially introduced the much-awaited BMW F 450 GS in India, marking a new chapter in the mid-capacity adventure motorcycle segment. Priced from ₹4.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the F 450 GS is available in three distinct variants—Basic, Exclusive, and GS Trophy—each tailored to different riding preferences. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2026, with bookings already open nationwide.

A Variant for Every Rider
The Base variant, finished in Cosmic Black, comes equipped with a full-LED headlight, a 6.5-inch TFT display, and a robust electronics suite including ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and three riding modes—Rain, Road, and Enduro. Heated grips, adjustable levers, and a USB-C charging socket add to its practicality.
The Exclusive variant enhances touring and off-road capability with off-road footpegs, hand guards, and Riding Modes Pro, which introduces Enduro Pro mode. A bidirectional quickshifter and clear windshield further elevate the package.
For hardcore adventurers, the GS Trophy variant stands out in Racing Blue Metallic with rally-inspired styling. It features sport suspension, aluminium engine guard, tinted windshield, and BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) as standard, making it the most off-road-focused option.

Engine and Performance
At the heart of theBMW F 450 GS lies a 420 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 47 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. Mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch, the motorcycle claims a top speed of 165 kmph and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. With a 14-litre fuel tank and efficiency of over 26 kmpl, it balances performance with practicality.
Design and Cycle Parts
The BMW F 450 GS carries forward BMW’s iconic GS styling, highlighted by an X-shaped LED DRL inspired by the larger R 1300 GS. Suspension duties are handled by KYB upside-down forks and a monoshock, offering 180 mm travel at both ends. Braking is managed by Brembo and ByBre units, supported by ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control.
