Porsche has introduced two new versions of the Macan EV in India, starting at Rs 1.23 crore. This luxury electric SUV was first available in a single Turbo model but has now been updated with a price increase to 1.69 Crore from 1.65 crore. Additionally, a new 4S variant has been released with a price of 1.39 crore.
Porsche Macan EV: Specifications
The Macan’s base model comes with a single electric motor situated at the back, marking Porsche’s first rear-wheel-drive SUV. This motor generates 360 horsepower and 563 Nm of torque. With this power, the Macan can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. You can push this acceleration to a top speed of 220 km/h, which is electronically limited.
When looking at the mid-range SUV model, you’ll notice it runs on two electric motors. Together, they generate 516 hp and a torque of 820 Nm. This SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 240 kmph.
Porsche has introduced a fresh exterior color choice called Slate Grey Neo. They’ve also rolled out new 20-inch Macan S alloy wheels as an optional feature. Another update is the new off-road design package, now offered on all variants. This package boosts ground clearance by 10mm and improves the approach angle.
Macan EV: Battery and Charging
Each of the three trim options comes with a 100kWh battery pack. The top-tier Macan Turbo EV provides a range of 591km, while the Macan 4S EV can go up to 606km, and the basic model offers the longest range of up to 641km on one charge.
This electric SUV, built on the PPE platform, is equipped with an 800V charging system that supports charging speeds of up to 270kW DC. Using a rapid charger, you can charge the Macan EV’s battery from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes.
