The New Skoda Kodiaq RS with 261 BHP, 231 kmph Speed, and Hits 0-100 kmph in Just 6.3 Seconds!
It’s been a year since Skoda introduced the second-generation Kodiaq SUV worldwide, and now they’ve revealed an exciting new RS version. Staying true to the RS badge, this sportier Kodiaq comes with an upgraded 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and a sleeker design compared to the standard model. Not only is the RS more robust, but it also features various sporty elements that set it apart from the regular Kodiaq.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Powertrain
The Skoda Kodiaq RS runs on a 2.0-liter turbo petrol TSI engine that produces 261 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This means it’s more powerful than the standard Kodiaq, with an extra 60hp and 80Nm of torque. The power goes to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This SUV can reach a top speed of 231 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds.

The new Kodiaq RS boosts performance even more with various hardware enhancements. The SUV comes with adaptive dampers and various suspension options like Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow. It also features an Off-Road mode for when you want to explore rough terrain.
Skoda Kodiaq RS: Exterior and Interior
In terms of looks, the Kodiaq RS keeps its standard design but adds some sporty touches. These include a blacked-out radiator grille, exterior mirror caps, upper window frames, roof rails, and the D-pillar. It now includes a stylish front bumper with a lit-up grille as a standard option. Additionally, the back of the vehicle boasts the Skoda logo, presented in a sleek glossy black finish. The Kodiaq RS also comes equipped with 20-inch wheels and eye-catching red brake calipers as part of its standard package. You get to choose from eight different color options for this SUV.

In the new Kodiaq RS, the cabin keeps its familiar look but with a fresh twist. Now, it flaunts a sleek all-black design highlighted by bold red stitching. Inside, you’ll find RS Suedia upholstery with a mix of Suedia microfibre and leatherette seats. If you opt for the RS Suite, you’ll enjoy luxurious full leather seats that even come with a cooling feature. At the front, a generous 13-inch infotainment screen takes center stage on the dashboard. Plus, you get a standard 10-inch digital instrument cluster to keep you updated on your drive.
Skoda is currently selling the first-generation Kodiaq in India for Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the company is likely to stop this model soon. The second generation of Kodiaq is set to hit the Indian market by mid-2025. Unfortunately, it seems that the Kodiaq RS won’t be available for Indian consumers.
