Ferrari F80 Accelerates 0 to 100 km/h in 2.15 Seconds and Hits 350 km/h Top Speed
Ferrari recently revealed its latest hypercar, the 2025 F80, as a follow-up to the iconic LaFerrari model. The new F80 from Ferrari has moved away from the traditional V12 engine to a hybrid V6, which may sound less impressive. Nevertheless, Ferrari aims to redefine its hypercar history by creating the most potent street-legal vehicle ever produced by the Maranello-based company.
The Ferrari F80 has a unique hybrid powertrain that combines a 120-degree, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with electric motors. With a price starting at GBP 3 million (approximately Rs 33 crore), only 799 units of this model will be available, and they’re already sold out. This model is a departure from the manufacturer’s typical strategies. Deliveries are set to begin in the last quarter of 2025.

Ferrari F80: Engine and Performance
The key to this car’s performance lies in its engine. The latest V6 hybrid engine features a 3.0-liter powerhouse generating 900 bhp, complemented by electric motors for a total of 1184 bhp. Ferrari claims that the new Ferrari F80 can achieve astounding speeds rapidly. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 2.15 seconds and reach 200 kmph in just 5.75 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically capped at 350 kmph.
The latest Ferrari F80 is inspired by the 499P Le Mans race car and their Formula 1 project. The 3.0-liter V6 engine is based on the 120-degree, hot-V design used in the 296 sports car and the Le Mans racer. Ferrari has boosted the power output by 237 bhp compared to the 296, all without adding extra weight. They achieved this by tweaking the ignition and injection timing, along with increasing combustion chamber pressure by 20%.

The engine comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that’s fine-tuned to handle the extra pressure and electric turbos to cut out delays. They’ve designed the electric motors themselves for the hybrid system – there are two up front with an inverter and cooling system, plus another at the back. The motors at the front can do torque vectoring and can shoot up to 210 kW (282 bhp) to the front axle through regenerative braking.

The electric motor positioned at the back takes on the task of kickstarting the gasoline engine, regaining energy, and providing more power when necessary. It boosts the total power by 80 bhp and can restore 70 kW (equal to 94 bhp) through the regenerative braking system. These three electric motors link up to an 800-volt 2.3 kWh lithium battery pack, producing a total of 325 bhp.
The Ferrari F80 introduces some remarkable aerodynamic features influenced by Formula 1, generating 1050 kg of downforce at 250km/h. It boasts an innovative underfloor design that includes barge boards, a tri-plane wing, and an active rear wing that can lift 200mm and tilt. The chassis is built with an asymmetric carbon fiber structure, making the driver’s side wider than the passenger’s side. This leads to a 5% weight reduction and a 50% increase in stiffness compared to the LaFerrari.

Ferrari F80: Exterior, Interior
Similar to other recent Ferrari models, the F80’s design stands out with its distinctive combination of body-colored upper and painted carbon-fiber lower sections. This design not only looks sleek but also emphasizes the car’s technical capabilities. The F80’s front design is intentionally different from a human face – the headlights are cleverly concealed under a visor, a black screen that plays a dual role in aerodynamics and optics. This feature adds to the car’s individuality and gives it a unique appearance.
At the back, you’ll notice a distinct look with a short tail design. Here, you have two options: one where the wing is down and another where it’s up. The rear lights are placed in a two-tier setup, blending the back window and the spoiler. This creates a cool effect that boosts the sporty vibe in both styles.

The interior of the new Ferrari F80 is designed with the driver in mind. It features a 1+1 seating arrangement, where the control panel is positioned towards you. The driver enjoys an adjustable sport bucket seat for comfort, while the passenger seat is securely attached to the chassis.
Moreover, the F80 includes a distinctive flat steering wheel design at the top and bottom, which is expected to be integrated into future Ferrari vehicles. Ferrari ensured that the new oval-shaped steering wheel and slim center console have numerous physical controls and functionalities. This makes it easier for you to manage while driving.
