After MG Hector and MG Hector Plus, MG Motor India has increased the prices of its mid-size SUV MG Astor.
During the festive season, with more carmakers offering attractive deals to boost sales, MG Motors has taken a unique approach. The company has already increased the prices of its popular SUV models, Hector and Hector Plus. Now, MG has announced that the prices of some variants of its mid-size SUV model, MG Astor, have been raised by up to Rs 27,000.
Due to a price hike, the starting price for the MG Astor car has now reached Rs. 9.98 lakhs. The highest model is priced at Rs. 18.35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The MG Astor SUV comes in different versions such as Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. Customers can choose attractive colors like Black Candy White, Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Havana Grey, and Candy White along with a stunning Black Roof to match their preferences.

The prices of the Shine 1.5 MT Ivory and the Select 1.5 MT Ivory have both increased by Rs. 20,000 each. The largest price hike was for the Savvy Pro Turbo 1.3 AT Sangria Red, Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Sangria Red, and Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory models, with a Rs. 27,000 increase for each. On the other hand, the Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, Sharp Pro 1.5 MT Ivory, and Select 1.5 CVT Ivory models have seen price raises of Rs. 26,000, Rs. 24,000, and Rs. 21,000, respectively.

MG Astor Features

MG Astor Powertrain
When it comes to Astor’s petrol engines, you have two options. One is a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine, while the other is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. The turbo engine gives you 138 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque, and it comes with a CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, the naturally aspirated engine delivers 108 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. You can match it with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
