Tata Motors releases a nostalgic yet modern TVC for the new Tata Sierra, previewing its boxy design, triple-screen cabin and petrol, diesel and EV options.
Tata Motors has dropped a glossy television commercial for the much-anticipated 2025 Tata Sierra, setting the stage for its official reveal on November 25. The short film bridges the brand’s past and present — opening with the classic three-door Sierra cruising Mumbai streets before cutting to the all-new, five-door Sierra that wears Tata’s contemporary design language with bold, upright proportions.

Exterior design
The TVC highlights a clean, boxy silhouette that leans heavily on retro cues while introducing modern details. The new Tata Sierra appears with a connected LED DRL strip, split LED headlamps and a pronounced blacked-out grille bearing “Sierra” lettering. Large 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black cladding, flush door handles and an integrated roof spoiler complete the homage to the original while delivering a more practical five-door layout for everyday use.

Cabin and tech
Inside, Tata aims to impress with a high-tech, comfort-focused cabin. The commercial teases a triple-screen arrangement across the dash — separate displays for infotainment, driver information and a passenger screen — paired with a sleek Harrier-inspired centre console, electronic gear selector and a panoramic sunroof. The interior packaging points to a strong emphasis on digital integration and passenger convenience.

Powertrains and capability
Tata has confirmed the Sierra will be offered with multiple powertrains: a 1.5-litre TGDi petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel for ICE buyers, alongside a battery-electric variant that Tata says is in the pipeline. The petrol unit is rated around 170 bhp and 280 Nm, and transmissions are expected to include manual and automatic options. Tata’s ATLAS architecture underpins the Sierra and is capable of accommodating off-road hardware, though the brand has not yet announced any dedicated 4×4 variants.

What to expect at launch
Positioned as a modern reinterpretation of an Indian SUV icon, the Tata Sierra price is likely to sit in the mid-to-upper range of Tata’s line-up; current previews list an indicative range around ₹20–25 lakh. Final specifications, feature lists and trim pricing will be revealed at the November 25 launch. The TVC confirms Tata’s intent to fuse nostalgia with contemporary engineering, targeting buyers who want personality without compromising on technology and practicality.
