2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class debuts with a stronger V8, refined design, advanced tech, and India launch expected in 2027.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has always been the pinnacle of luxury sedans, and the 2026 facelift takes opulence and performance to new heights. Following the updated standard S-Class, the Maybach version arrives with subtle yet striking design changes, a more powerful V8 engine, and a suite of advanced technologies that redefine modern luxury.

The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class wears a larger illuminated grille, tri-star LED headlamps with rose-gold detailing, and tail-lamps echoing the iconic Mercedes motif. New forged alloy wheels with self-levelling centre caps add flair, while expanded paint options under the Manufaktur programme—including Nautical Blue metallic—ensure exclusivity. The Night Series package further enhances its dark, commanding presence with black chrome accents and aero-optimised wheels.
Inside, the Maybach continues to pamper rear-seat occupants with executive seating, twin 13.1-inch displays, and even silver-plated champagne flutes. The debut of Mercedes-Benz’s MB.OS operating system, paired with the latest MBUX Superscreen, elevates digital luxury. AI-driven voice assistance, sustainable leather upholstery, and immersive ambient lighting themes make the cabin both futuristic and indulgent.

Under the hood, the Maybach S 580 now features a revised 4.0-litre V8 producing 530 bhp with mild-hybrid assistance, delivering 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. A plug-in hybrid variant offers up to 100 km of pure electric driving, while the flagship S 680 retains its legendary 6.0-litre V12, reserved for select markets. All models benefit from 4MATIC all-wheel drive and enhanced efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz plans to introduce the facelifted Maybach S-Class in India by 2027, following the standard S-Class update. The S 580 is expected to be locally assembled, with prices likely exceeding ₹3 crore, reflecting the upgraded technology and craftsmanship. For Indian buyers, this promises an unmatched blend of prestige, performance, and personalisation.
