Mercedes-Benz has introduced striking new Night Edition variants of the GLE and GLS SUVs in India, adding a bold, dark-themed twist to its luxury lineup. Available in limited numbers, these models combine exclusive styling with enhanced equipment, making them standout offerings for enthusiasts seeking exclusivity and performance.

Pricing and Variants
The GLE Night Edition starts at ₹1.05 crore, while the GLS Night Edition is priced from ₹1.41 crore (ex-showroom). The GLE 300d and 450 petrol variants command a premium of ₹5 lakh and ₹3.5 lakh respectively over the standard models. Meanwhile, the GLS petrol and diesel versions are priced ₹3.5 lakh and ₹3.3 lakh higher than their regular counterparts.

Design Highlights
Both SUVs feature a darkened exterior theme with exclusive Alpine Grey and Obsidian Black paint options. Blacked-out wing mirrors, gloss-black bumper trims, and a black roof further enhance the stealthy appeal. Inside, the cabins are finished with black Nappa leather upholstery, Anthracite open-pore oak trim, and black door sills, creating a premium yet sporty atmosphere.
Feature Upgrades
The GLE Night Edition introduces air suspension (Airmatic) for the first time on a 4-cylinder variant, ensuring superior ride comfort. Both SUVs come equipped with a head-up display as standard, while the GLS adds rear entertainment screens for passengers.

Powertrain Options
The GLE Night Edition offers two choices:
- A 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel producing 270hp and 550Nm
- A 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol delivering 380hp and 500Nm
The GLS Night Edition is powered by:
- A 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol with 380hp
- A 3.0-litre inline-6 diesel with 367hp
Both SUVs feature a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive, with air suspension standard across the range.
