Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition launched in India at ₹1.52 crore with AMG Dynamic Plus Package, active roll stabilisation, and sporty upgrades.

Mercedes-Benz has expanded its AMG lineup in India with the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe Performance Edition, priced at ₹1.52 crore (ex-showroom). This new variant commands a ₹7 lakh premium over the standard AMG GLE 53 Coupe, but brings a host of performance-focused upgrades and exclusive design touches that set it apart.

At its heart, the Performance Edition retains the familiar 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine, producing 435hp and 520Nm of torque. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and AMG’s 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, the SUV sprints from 0-100kph in a claimed 5.3 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.

The real highlight lies in the AMG Dynamic Plus Package, offered as standard. This adds active roll stabilisation, ventilated and perforated brake discs with striking red calipers, and superior braking performance. Enthusiasts will also appreciate the inclusion of the AMG Track Pace app, which provides live telemetry data for track sessions.

Visually, the Performance Edition stands out with 22-inch black alloy wheels, side steps, and a new AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in leatherette. The exterior continues to showcase AMG’s signature styling with LED projector headlights, wraparound LED tail-lights, a boot-lid spoiler, and quad exhaust tips integrated neatly into the bumper.

Inside, the cabin remains luxurious and tech-laden. Dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and four-zone climate control are all standard. Comfort is enhanced with ventilated, heated, and memory-enabled front seats, while the 13-speaker Burmester sound system ensures an immersive audio experience.

Interestingly, the AMG GLE 53 Performance Edition is priced ₹33 lakh lower than the standard model’s launch price in January 2024, when it debuted at ₹1.85 crore.
