Triumph Motorcycles has added another jewel to its modern classic crown with the launch of the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition in India. The Cafe Racer Edition revives Triumph’s large-capacity twin-cylinder cafe racer spirit, following the discontinuation of the Thruxton 1200. Staying true to the genre, it features clip-on handlebars, a dual-tone green-and-silver paint scheme, and a colour-matched headlight cowl. The premium quilted tan leather seat adds a touch of elegance, making it stand out from the standard RS variant.

Underneath the retro-inspired design lies Triumph’s proven 1,200cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, delivering 105hp and 112Nm of torque. Power is channelled through a 6-speed gearbox, complemented by a bi-directional quickshifter—a rare feature in Triumph’s modern classic range.

Cycle parts are shared with the Speed Twin 1200 RS, including fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes, and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres. The electronics suite and rider aids remain unchanged, ensuring the same balance of performance and safety.

Limited to just 800 units globally, each motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity. The ₹1.21 lakh premium over the RS variant accounts for its bespoke paint scheme, handcrafted seat, and collectible status. Triumph has yet to confirm how many units will be allocated to India, making this edition even more desirable for enthusiasts.
