2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza earns a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating with six airbags, advanced safety tech, and strong adult & child protection scores.
Maruti Suzuki’s popular compact SUV, the Brezza, has set a new benchmark in safety with the upcoming 2026 model securing a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Just a day before its official launch, the Brezza has already made headlines by excelling in both adult and child occupant protection categories, reinforcing its position as one of the safest vehicles in its segment.

During the latest round of Bharat NCAP evaluations, the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza achieved 30.41 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and an impressive 43 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. The tested variant was the ZXI+ 1.5-litre 6-speed automatic, but the rating applies across the entire lineup.
In adult occupant safety, the SUV scored 14.41/16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and a perfect 16/16 in the side impact test. The side pole impact test also returned a satisfactory verdict. Protection for critical areas such as the head, neck, pelvis, and feet was rated “good,” while chest and tibiae protection was marked “adequate.”

Child safety was equally commendable, with the Brezza securing full marks in dynamic crash tests and CRS installation. Using rearward-facing child seats for 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies, the SUV achieved maximum scores in both frontal and side impact assessments.
Maruti Suzuki has also enhanced the Brezza’s safety equipment for 2026. All variants now come with six airbags as standard, along with ESC, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, rear parking sensors, and a rear camera. Higher trims will offer premium features such as a 360-degree camera, blind spot warning, lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning.
