Jeep Compass prices have dropped by up to ₹1.7 lakh
Jeep India has made a big decision to lower the price of the popular Jeep Compass model. While Jeep isn’t usually known for cutting prices, this change is a big deal for people looking to buy. It’s important to mention that the price drop only applies to certain models, not all of them. So, the Jeep Compass now starts at Rs 18.99 lakh (Ex-showroom), down from the earlier starting price of Rs 20.69 lakh (Ex-showroom), which is a significant decrease of Rs 1.7 lakh.
Jeep Compass Models and Features
The Jeep Compass is available in six versions: Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Black Shark, and Model S. The Sport model is now more affordable, but the other versions have all gone up in price by Rs. 14,000. Following the discontinuation of the petrol engine last year, the Jeep Compass now exclusively features a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic torque converter transmission.
The entry-level Sport model comes with a range of features. These include an 8.4-inch touchscreen for entertainment, 17-inch alloy wheels, a semi-digital display, LED headlamps, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, start-stop engine function, controls on the steering wheel, an electric parking brake, tire pressure monitoring, dual airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and additional features.
The highest-level version includes great features like a large 10.1-inch touch screen for entertainment, connected car technology, a fully digital 10.25-inch display for the driver, front seats that can be ventilated, a driver’s seat with eight-way power adjustment, a charger for your phone without wires, cruise control, climate control with two zones, a sunroof that covers the whole roof, six airbags for safety, a camera that shows 360 degrees around the car, and additional features.
Jeep Compass Engine Specifications
The Jeep Compass gets its power from a strong 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that delivers an impressive 167bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. This powerful engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. You can choose between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) setups, but there is no manual AWD option available.
