Oben Electric has taken a bold step in India’s EV two-wheeler market with the launch of the Oben Rorr Evo, priced at an introductory ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom). The Oben Rorr Evo builds upon Oben’s proven ARX platform, introducing significant upgrades to its motor, battery, and drivetrain. At its core is a newly developed 9kW I-PMSM motor, designed without rare-earth materials, paired with a 3.4kWh LFP battery pack. The battery carries an impressive 8-year warranty, IP67 certification, and has been tested at extreme temperatures up to 280°C. Oben claims a real-world range of 150km, marking a 25% improvement over its predecessor, while the IDC-rated range stands at 180km.

Performance figures are equally compelling. The Evo accelerates from 0–40kph in just 3 seconds, achieves a top speed of 110kph, and delivers peak wheel torque of 250Nm. A switch to a chain-drive setup further boosts efficiency by 10 percent, while reduced component sizing helps keep kerb weight at a manageable 140kg.

The motorcycle’s hardware includes a trellis frame, telescopic fork, and a 7-step adjustable monoshock, complemented by 270mm disc brakes at both ends with CBS. With 200mm ground clearance, a 780mm seat height, and a class-leading 680mm seat length, the Evo balances practicality with comfort.
On the tech front, the Oben Rorr Evo is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and four riding modes – Eco, Road, Havoc, and Smart IQ. The Smart IQ mode uses AI to estimate range based on riding patterns, while Eco mode now allows speeds up to 60kph following customer feedback. Safety is enhanced with a fall alert system that notifies emergency contacts via the app.

Design updates include a sharper front fascia with all-LED lighting, a projector headlamp, and a horizontal DRL. Storage solutions are thoughtful, offering a 6-litre under-seat compartment and a 4-litre tank storage area with dual USB ports. Charging options include the standard Oben Plug for 15A sockets and the faster Oben Port, which adds 1km of range per minute of charging.
Available in four striking colours – blue, red, white, and black – the Rorr Evo positions itself as a stylish yet affordable electric motorcycle. With this launch, Oben’s portfolio now consists of just two models: the new Rorr Evo and the neo-retro Rorr EZ Sigma.
