Volkswagen Tayron Life 5-seater SUV Debuts in India at Rs 41.99 lakh, blending premium comfort, German engineering, and advanced safety tech.
Volkswagen has expanded its premium SUV portfolio in India with the launch of the Tayron Life, a new 5-seater variant priced at ₹41.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as a more accessible alternative to the flagship Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, the Tayron Life combines German engineering with enhanced practicality, making it a strong contender in the premium SUV space.

The Volkswagen Tayron Life retains the same dimensions as the R-Line, measuring 4792 mm in length with a 2789 mm wheelbase, but offers significantly improved luggage capacity—885 litres compared to the R-Line’s 345 litres. This makes it particularly appealing for families seeking more utility without compromising on comfort.

Visually, the Tayron Life adopts a subtler design language. It features a redesigned grille and bumper, paired with 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels instead of the sportier 19-inch rims. LED headlamps with connected DRLs and 3D LED taillights maintain Volkswagen’s signature styling. Available in seven exterior colours—including Dolphin Grey, Cipressino Green, and Ultraviolet Metallic.

Inside, the SUV offers a 13-inch infotainment system (slightly smaller than the R-Line’s 15-inch unit) alongside a 10.25-inch digital cluster. Comfort features include ventilated and massage-enabled front seats, dual wireless phone chargers, and three-zone climate control. The Tayron Life also integrates advanced tech such as Level 2 ADAS with 14 safety features, nine airbags, and Volkswagen’s XDS electronic differential lock, ensuring both convenience and safety.
Under the hood, the Tayron Life is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. This setup promises a balance of performance and efficiency, reinforcing Volkswagen’s reputation for driving confidence.
