Kia Syros EV debuts with 526 km range, 169 BHP motor, fast charging, and lifetime battery warranty, redefining India’s sub-4m SUV segment.
Kia India has officially unveiled the Syros EV, a bold new entrant in the compact SUV space that promises to shake up the electric vehicle market. Positioned as Kia’s third EV in India, the Kia Syros EV is not just another eco-friendly option—it’s the most powerful sub-4-metre passenger car currently on sale in the country.

The Kia Syros EV will be offered in two battery configurations, both using advanced nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) cells with liquid cooling. The standard variant packs a 42 kWh battery, while the long-range version boasts a 51.4 kWh unit—the largest battery yet seen in this segment.
Performance figures are equally impressive. The long-range Syros EV delivers 169 BHP, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds. Range anxiety is addressed with confidence: the standard model covers up to 443 km, while the long-range variant stretches to a remarkable 526 km on the MIDC cycle, making it the first EV in its class to cross the 500 km benchmark.

Charging capabilities are equally future-ready. With a 100 kW DC fast charger, the Syros EV can juice up from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. It also supports 10.8 kW AC onboard charging for added convenience. Beyond numbers, Kia is backing the Syros EV with a lifetime battery warranty, a move that underscores its confidence in the product and reassures buyers about long-term ownership.
The Kia Syros EV is expected to launch later this month, with prices likely ranging between ₹20–30 lakh. With its blend of performance, range, and warranty, Kia is clearly aiming to set new benchmarks in India’s fast-growing EV market.
