Mercedes-Benz India has introduced its first-ever plug-in hybrid Maybach, the S 580 e, priced at ₹3.35 crore (ex-showroom). This ultra-luxurious limousine blends traditional Maybach opulence with cutting-edge electrification, making it one of the most exclusive offerings in the Indian luxury car market.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e PHEV combines a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid system, delivering a staggering 585 bhp and 750 Nm of torque through a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The highlight is its 28.6 kWh battery, which allows up to 98 km of pure-electric driving range with a top speed of 140 km/h in EV mode.

Inside, the S 580 e is offered exclusively in a four-seat First-Class configuration, featuring individual executive seats separated by a business centre console. Rear passengers enjoy ventilated seats, wireless charging, adaptive lighting, and MBUX rear-seat entertainment with twin screens and wireless headsets. Up front, the MBUX Superscreen, augmented-reality navigation, and a 1610-watt Burmester 4D surround sound system with 31 speakers elevate the in-cabin experience.

Safety remains paramount, with 15 airbags, Guard 360-degree protection, and advanced driver assistance features. The chassis is equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension and rear-axle steering up to 10 degrees, ensuring both comfort and agility.

On the outside, the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e PHEV retains the signature Maybach styling, including an illuminated grille, logo projection, and 20-inch forged wheels with noise-optimised tyres. The cabin is finished in exclusive Nappa leather with piano-lacquer trim, complemented by bespoke details such as designer belt buckles and a rose-gold-accented vehicle key.
